Bhubaneswar: Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police (SP) Gundala Reddy Raghavendra has been honoured with the ‘Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak’ for his exemplary service, announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs on October 31, 2025.
Apart from Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Gundala Reddy Raghavendra, Additional SP Anil Kumar Das , Inspector Himanshu Bhushan Swain and Inspector Dhabaleshwar Sahu have been honoured with the prestigious ‘Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak’ for 2025, joining 1,465 other awardees from various states, union territories, and central organizations.
This award recognizes exceptional service in special operations, investigation, intelligence, and forensic science. Instituted by the Ministry of Home Affairs in February 2024, the ‘Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak’ is announced annually on October 31, marking Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary
This prestigious medal is conferred upon members of police forces, security organizations, and other related departments for outstanding performance in special operations, investigation, intelligence, and forensic science.
Initiated under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and guidance of Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah, ‘Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak’ is aimed at boosting the morale of all police personnel.
