Jharsuguda: A Star Air flight (S-5229), scheduled to depart from Veer Surendra Sai Airport for Bhubaneswar, was grounded on Thursday evening due to a technical glitch in one of its engines.
The aircraft, carrying 70 passengers, had taken off from Lucknow and landed safely at Jharsuguda airport. However, engineers detected a problem with the propeller, prompting a thorough inspection.
Preliminary investigations suggest that a bird strike might have caused the issue, although this has not been confirmed. The incident is currently under investigation, with technicians and engineers working to resolve the problem.
The airline is yet to comment on the incident, and passengers are being accommodated on alternative flights.
