Bhubaneswar: The minimum temperature has decreased by 2-6 degrees Celsius in most parts of the state compared to the previous night.
According to the India Meteorological Department, the cold wave is expected to intensify further, with a forecast of a 2-4 degree drop in temperature over the next two days.
Going by IMD information, Phulbani recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 12.5 degrees Celsius, followed by Daringibadi at 14 degrees. Bhubaneswar recorded a minimum temperature of 17 degrees Celsius, while Cuttack recorded 17.6 degrees.
Since November 1, Bhubaneswar’s minimum temperature has dropped by 8 degrees. The temperature was 25 degrees on November 1, 24 degrees on November 2, 22.6 degrees on November 3, 20.8 degrees on November 4, and 17 degrees on November 5.
Other cities, including Jharsuguda, Angul, Rourkela, Keonjhar, and Dhenkanal, have also seen significant drops in temperature.
The weather department’s forecast indicates that the temperature will continue to drop, making it a chilly winter morning in the state.
