Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to embark on a two-day visit to Rourkela, beginning today. He will attend the state-level celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas at Sector-13 Parade Ground to commemorate 150th birth anniversary of tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda.
According to reports, the Chief Minister will depart from Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar at 12:05 pm and arrive at Rourkela Airport at 1 pm. From there, he will proceed to May Fair Hockey Village for rest.
Later, he will attend the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas celebration at Sector-13 Parade Ground at 2 pm and address the gathering. He will also inaugurate the new Circuit House at Panposh by 4:30 pm.
In the evening, Majhi will pay homage to Birsa Munda’s statue at Birsa Munda Chowk at 5:40 pm, followed by attending the closing ceremony of the 4th National Eklabya Model Residential School Sports Meet at Birsa Munda Athletic Stadium. He will stay overnight at Hotel May Fair and return to Bhubaneswar tomorrow at 10 am.
