Bhubaneswar: The death news of Ollywood singing sensation Humane Sagar has plunged the entire Odia film and music industry (Ollywood) into deep mourning. Fans, fellow artists, and music lovers have expressed profound grief over the sudden demise of one of Odisha’s most loved voices.

Amid the shock and sorrow, Humane Sagar’s mother, Shefali Suna, has made explosive allegations, directly holding three persons responsible for her son’s death.

Speaking to the media with visible anguish, she accused the singer’s personal assistants, Papu and Prashant and a young woman named Arpita Choudhury of exploiting and mentally harassing him to the point of pushing him towards death. My son was used by these people. Even when his health was deteriorating, his two PAs forced him to perform stage shows. They did not let him rest or get proper treatment,” Shefali Suna said.

She further alleged, “Papu, Prashant, and Arpita Choudhury have taken my son’s life. Arpita deceived him, kept him under extreme mental stress and depression.”

The grieving mother claimed that despite knowing about Humane Sagar’s serious condition, his team continued to schedule shows and prevented him from seeking timely medical care.”

Born in Titlagarh town in Balangir district, he had shown an inclination towards music since childhood. After losing his father and younger brother a few years ago, he lived in Cuttack with his mother, a school teacher and other family members.

Today, the singer’s mortal remains were taken from his Cuttack residence to his native village in Titlagarh, where the last rites will be performed. The entire region is enveloped in grief, with thousands expected to pay their final respects.

Humane Sagar’s melodious voice and chart-topping Odia songs had earned him immense popularity across the state. His untimely death leaves a huge void in Odia music that will be difficult to fill.
