Bhubaneswar: In celebration of World Heritage Week, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has announced that entry to the Konark Sun Temple will be free today.
This decision aims to promote tourism and allow visitors to appreciate the rich cultural heritage of the temple without any financial burden.
It may be mentioned that the Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is renowned for its stunning architecture and intricate carvings. The temple’s unique design, featuring 24 wheels and seven horses, is a testament to India’s rich cultural heritage. As a result of the free entry, tourists are expected to flock to the temple, making it a busy day for the local administration and vendors.
Meanwhile, the ASI has made arrangements to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for visitors.
This initiative is part of the World Heritage Week celebrations, which aim to raise awareness about the importance of preserving cultural heritage sites.
