Dhenkanal: Nine persons were seriously injured in two different road mishaps in Keonjhar and Dhenkanal districts.
As per reports, a night coach travelling from Rourkela to Bhubaneswar with 50 passengers on board lost balance and collided with a tree near the Kanak Durga Temple on the Dhenkanal- Kamakhyanagar Road in the wee hours of Saturday.
Two people were seriously injured in the mishap and are undergoing treatment at the Dhenkanal District Headquarters Hospital.
In a separate incident, a collision between a college bus and a truck near Manikpur, on the Champua-Jharkhand border, has left seven people injured, including two drivers and five students. The injured have been admitted to Champua Hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred when the bus, carrying students, collided head-on with a truck on the highway.
