Bhubaneswar: Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy has called an all-party meeting on Wednesday (November 26, 2025) to discuss the smooth conduct of the upcoming winter session of the state Assembly.
The winter session is scheduled to begin on Thursday (November 27), and continue until Wednesday (December 31). During the meeting, the Speaker is expected to hold discussions with leaders of all parties to ensure constructive debate and maintain decorum during the session.
According to a provisional calendar released by the Assembly on Monday (November 10), the fifth session of the seventh Assembly will allocate 19 days for Official Business and five days for Private Members’ Business, including Bills and Resolutions. President Droupadi Murmu is slated to address the Assembly on the opening day of the session.
The all-party meeting comes ahead of discussions on key legislative matters and is aimed at fostering a collaborative atmosphere in the House.
