Four Morning Walkers Critical After Bus Runs Over Them In Jajpur

Bhubaneswar: Four people were seriously injured after a passenger bus ran over them at Dhobagali Chhak under Sadar police station in Jajpur district on Sunday morning.

The accident took place while they were on a morning walk. The victims, identified as Rakesh Jena, Chintu Jena, Manu Jena, and Badal Jena were rushed to Jajpur district headquarters hospital and later shifted to Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital for further treatment.

The accident occurred when the bus, carrying passengers, lost control and ran over the pedestrians. All bus passengers were reportedly safe, but the driver fled the scene. Police arrived, seized the bus, and launched an investigation.

The incident sparked protests, with locals blocking the road and burning tires.
