Bhubaneswar: Three students, who had gone missing from the girls’ hostel of a tribal residential school in Govindpur in Sambalpur district, were traced after a day-long search operation conducted by the police.
The girls were rescued from Saida, located in the Kuchinda area of the district. However, the circumstances that led them to end up there are still unknown.
The incident came to light after the hostel warden lodged a police complaint. Police have decided to conduct a medical examination of the girls. Police, however, stated that the girls are in stable health condition.
The girls reportedly went missing since 4 pm on Sunday afternoon. When they failed to return even late at night, the warden approached the police. Based on a complaint, police launched an immediate investigation to trace the girls.
