Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s integrated public mobility platform Odisha Yatri has achieved a major milestone by crossing 5 lakh completed trips across the State, further solidifying its position as the fastest-growing ride-hailing and public mobility application in Odisha.
The app has recorded over 28 lakh ride searches, reflecting strong commuter demand and rising engagement across major cities. With 3.1 lakh registered users and a rapidly expanding fleet of 15,000 onboard drivers, Odisha Yatri is delivering one of the highest driver acceptance rates in the country — above 90%, ensuring faster pickups, minimal cancellations, and an enhanced commuter experience.
The platform has already enabled ₹7.5 crore in driver earnings, strengthening livelihood opportunities through transparent fares, assured daily income, and a zero-commission model. Building on its success in ride-hailing, Odisha Yatri is now gearing up to transform public transport with QR-based digital ticketing for Ama Bus, targeting 50% digital ticket adoption in the next 3–4 months, a move expected to boost operational efficiency, reduce leakage, and offer commuters a convenient paperless ticketing experience. The Government of Odisha is working to position Odisha Yatri as the State’s unified mobility super app, integrating autos, cabs, buses, public attractions, and future transport services into a single digital platform.
Speaking on the milestone, Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary of the Housing & Urban Development Department, said that Odisha Yatri reflects the Government’s commitment to modern, inclusive, and technology-enabled public transport for every citizen, adding that expansion to more cities, more vehicle options, and deeper integration with public and private transport systems is underway.
With strong growth traction, the platform now aims to cross 10 lakh completed trips by March 2026, powered by increasing commuter adoption, higher driver availability, multimodal expansion, and continuous digital enhancements — redefining daily commuting in Odisha through smart travel for passengers and sustainable income for drivers.
