Balangir: A devastating incident has shaken the RR Colony in Sadeipali of Balangir district, where an elderly woman lost her life after hearing the news of her grandson’s death. The grandson, Suman Khuas, had passed away while undergoing treatment at Bhim Bhoi Medical College and Hospital.
Suman had played badminton the previous evening and had plans to go to college with his friends the next morning. However, he fell ill and was admitted to the hospital, where he succumbed to his illness.
The grandmother, Sunita Khuas, was overcome with grief upon seeing her grandson’s body and collapsed at the scene. She was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately passed away.
The family is in shock, having lost two loved ones in a single day. Suman’s father, Sudhir Khuas, is devastated, having lost his son and mother on the same day. The incident has left the entire community in mourning, with the funeral pyre of Suman and his grandmother being set alight together.
