Bhubaneswar: Odisha is witnessing a gradual respite from the cold wave that has gripped the state over the past few days. The minimum temperatures have recorded a slight rise, providing relief to residents, especially in the northern and southern districts.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Daringibadi recorded the lowest temperature at 10°C, followed by Rourkela at 10.6°C, Jharsuguda at 11.3°C, Phulabani at 12°C, Koraput at 12.5°C, Keonjhar at 12.6°C, Sundargarh at 13°C, and Boudh at 14°C. Several other districts including Angul, Baripada, Bhawanipatna, and Khordha recorded 15°C, while Kendrapada recorded 15.8°C. In the twin cities, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 18.1°C and 16.2°C, respectively.
The IMD has issued a yellow warning for dense fog, which is likely to occur at one or two places in Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Koraput, and Kalahandi districts on Monday.
The IMD also advised commuters and residents in fog-affected areas to exercise caution, especially during early morning and late-night hours.
