Bhubaneswar: The Konark Festival and International Sand Art Festival will begin today, with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi set to inaugurate the event.
The five-day festival will feature a range of cultural performances, including classical dances and music, at the open-air theatre.
The festival will also showcase sand art performances by artists from across the country and abroad on the Chandrabhaga beach. The event is expected to attract a large crowd, and preparations have been finalised.
The festival will feature performances of Odissi, Kathakali, Kuchipudi, Manipuri, Bharatanatyam, and Kathak dances at the Muktakash Rangamanch. Besides, sand artists will come up with stunning sand art on various themes.
The event scheduled to be held from December 1 to 5 promises to be a spectacular display of art, culture, and entertainment.
