Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced in the State Assembly that the renovation and upgradation of the State Police DG Headquarters in Cuttack is underway, with Rs 5.93 crore approved for the project in 2023-24. Out of this, Rs 2 crore has been allocated to Odisha State Police Housing (OSPH) & Welfare Corporation (WC) Ltd.
CM’s reply came in response to a question raised by Congress MLA Sofia Firdous on the current status of renovation and upgradation of the State Police DG Headquarters.
CM also stated that the state government has spent Rs 1458.69 lakh on the repair and maintenance of the headquarters in 2023-24 and 2024-25.
The CM further stated that proposals for full renovation, including police barracks and quarters, and an integrated, expanded DG Headquarters at Buxi Bazar, Cuttack, will be considered based on resource availability.
