Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) President Pankaj Lochan Mohanty and Secretary Sanjay Behera presented match tickets to CM Majhi at his residence on Sunday.
On this occasion, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi congratulated OCA on being entrusted with the hosting of the T-20 International Cricket Match between India and South Africa at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on December 9.
CM Majhi also expressed pride in the opportunity to host the major international event and assured government support for the OCA’s efforts in organising the match and promoting sports in the state.
Taking to his X handle, he wrote: “ The President and Secretary of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA), Pankaj Lochan Mohanty and Sanjay Behera, called on me at my residence and presented tickets for the T-20 International Cricket Match between India and South Africa scheduled to be held on December 9 at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.”
“The hosting of such a major international event in Odisha is a matter of pride for the state. I congratulate the OCA authorities, and our government is fully committed to developing sports infrastructure and promoting sports talent in the state,” read his post on his X handle.
