Bhubaneswar: A student was killed, and two other students sustained injuries when a high-speed Hyva truck hit them near Kurakana Square under Jenapur police station in Jajpur district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased student is Chinmay Nayak, son of Shatrughna Nayak. They were going to college when the mishap occurred. However, Nayak was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two students were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The accident sparked outrage among locals, who set the vehicle on fire.
Till the last report came in, the police had not arrived at the scene.
