Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Congress on Friday accused the state government of a major lapse in the conduct of the Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) examination, alleging that the question paper was leaked hours before the test.
Raising the issue through a point of order during a discussion on unemployment in the Assembly, Congress MLA CS Raazen Ekka claimed that the ANM question paper had surfaced at around 11 am—three hours ahead of the scheduled 2 pm written examination.
Ekka told the House that reports of the purported leak emerged from Malkangiri and Bolangir districts, where second-year ANM students were set to write the test.
The allegation has sparked outrage among examinees and their families, who demanded immediate action, accountability, and a thorough probe into the alleged breach. The incident has also intensified criticism of the conduct of examinations under the state’s health education system.
