Bhubaneswar: HDFC Bank, Sachivalaya Branch on Friday successfully organised Blood Donation Camp to promote the noble cause of voluntary blood donation and community welfare through it’s 17th All India Blood Donation Drive across the country.
As part of its social responsibility drive, HDFC Bank has taken up the noble cause of conducting blood donation drives across the state. Till date, the special drives have collected around 10000 Units of Blood from over 130 Camps held throughout the State and it will continue till 15th December with another 100 camps. HDFC Bank has been conducting blood donation campaign since 2007 and has been witnessing more and more enthusiasm, awareness and increased support from all stakeholders for this initiative. These Blood Donation camps are a part of pan India initiative of the Bank.
The event was inaugurated by Minister of Housing & Urban Development, Public Enterprises Government of Odisha – Krushna Chandra Mahapatra.
The programme witnessed the gracious presence of blood donors , staff members of HDFC Bank.
Speaking on the occasion, Krushna Chandra Mahapatra appreciated the initiative of HDFC Bank & highlighting the importance of voluntary blood donation in saving countless lives. He emphasized that such collaborations between corporates, social organisations, and the government are crucial in strengthening healthcare support systems in the state. Also emphasize on special drive on donor should motivate people to make it big success throughout the state.
Over the course of the camp, several volunteers, including HDFC Bank employees, customers, and members of the local community, enthusiastically came forward to donate blood. The collected units will be routed through the Indian Red Cross Society Odisha State Branch to support patients in need across the state.
Senior officials of HDFC Bank reiterated Bank’s commitment towards social responsibility and community development. They stated, “HDFC Bank has always believed in giving back to society, and today’s blood donation drive is a reflection of our values of care, service, and community welfare.”
The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all donors and stakeholders, with an appeal to the community to continue supporting such life-saving initiatives and encourage to youngsters to take on the noble activity.
