Bhubaneswar: Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary (DC-cum-ACS) Anu Garg on Monday reviewed the expenditure, budget utilisation, and financial projections of the Department of Water Resources (DoWR) to align its plans with the State’s Vikshit Odisha 2036 and national Viksit Bharat 2047 goals.
Chairing a high-level meeting at the DoWR with senior officials, Garg emphasised the need for strategic financial planning to ensure uninterrupted execution of major water resource projects across the State. She highlighted the importance of timely project implementation, precise financial projections, and optimal fund utilisation.
Calling for strengthened coordination among all wings of the department, the Development Commissioner stressed that efficient financial management would be key to sustaining progress on irrigation and water infrastructure initiatives.
The review meeting charted out a focused and result-oriented roadmap for the coming financial year, reaffirming Odisha’s commitment to advancing both State and National long-term development priorities.
