Dhenkanal: Three students went missing from the Tribal Residential Ashram School at Chilataila in Gandanali Panchayat of Rasola police station in Dhenkanal district for the last two days.
The students, identified as Shiv Murmu (7), Bapi Beshra (11), and Swatiwala Murmu (7), have gone missing since December 10. The students, who are from Bhuban area, had participated in the annual sports event held near the school.
The headmaster of the school lodged a complaint with the Rasola police station, stating that despite searching the nearby locality, the students could not be found. The family members of the students have alleged dereliction of duty by the teachers and have also lodged a complaint with the police.
The Rasola police have registered a case and started investigating the matter. The police are searching for the students in various places.
