Bhubaneswar: An undertrial prisoner died at the Baliguda Sub-Jail in Khandhamal district.
The deceased, identified as Herada Digal, was an inmate at the Sub-Jail and a resident of Badimunda village under Tikabali police station.
According to reports, Digal complained of chest pain, following which he was rushed to Baliguda Sub-Divisional Hospital. He succumbed while undergoing treatment at the sub-divisional hospital.
He had been transferred to Baliguda sub-jail from G Udayagiri jail in October 2025.
