Bhubaneswar: A cold wave has gripped Odisha, with temperatures plummeting across the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reports that the mercury is expected to dip further from Christmas onwards, bringing dry and cold north-westerly winds to the region.
According to IMD, the temperature has dropped to a chilly 6.3°C in Koraput. Other places also experienced significantly low temperatures, with Daringbadi recording 7°C, Nabrangpur 8°C, Phulbani 8.5°C, Jharsuguda 9.4°C, Boudh 9.5°C, Angul 9.6°C, Bhubaneswar 11.9°C, and Cuttack 12.4°C.
Meanwhile, the IMD has warned of dense fog in districts like Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, and Sonepur from December 25-27.
