Bhubaneswar: The cold wave continues to affect northern Odisha, with daytime temperatures remaining 6-7°C lower than normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
As per IMD data, yesterday’s maximum temperatures in coastal Odisha and surrounding areas were significantly lower than usual, with Baripada recording 19°C (6.3°C below normal), Balasore 19.1°C (7.6°C below normal), and Chandabali 20.7°C (6.1°C below normal).
Other areas, including Cuttack, Paradip, Gopalpur, Puri, and Bhubaneswar, also experienced lower temperatures, ranging from 22.8°C to 25.8°C (3-5.5°C below normal).
Meanwhile, the regional weather office has warned of dense fog in several districts, including Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Nayagarh.
