Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar–Cuttack Police Commissionerate has issued a traffic advisory in view of the “Patha Utsav” scheduled to be held on January 4, 2026, along the Janpath stretch from Master Canteen to Ram Mandir Square in Bhubaneswar.
According to the advisory, all vehicular movement will be completely restricted on the specified stretch of Janpath as well as on its connecting lanes from 11:00 PM on January 3 to 11:00 AM on January 4, 2026. The restrictions are being imposed to ensure smooth conduct of the event, which is expected to witness the presence of several dignitaries and a large number of participants.
The Commissionerate Police has urged commuters and city residents to avoid the affected route, if possible, and plan their travel in advance to prevent inconvenience and delays. Motorists have also been advised to follow temporary traffic diversions and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed on duty.
In a statement, Commissioner of Police Suresh Dev Datta Singh, appealed to the public for cooperation, stating that adherence to the traffic regulations would help maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure the successful conduct of Patha Utsav.
Residents have been requested to stay updated through official traffic advisories and local news platforms for real-time information on diversions and road conditions during the restriction period.
