Bhubaneswar: The investigation into the death of popular singer Humane Sagar has hit a roadblock, with the investigating officer of Markatnagar police station being transferred to Lalbag police station. The move has raised concerns about the probe’s progress and potential cover-up.
According to report, the singer’s mother, Shefali Suna, had filed a complaint with Markatnagar police on December 21, naming nine persons, but none have been questioned yet. The Markatnagar police had issued notices to the accused, but so far, none have been interrogated. With the transfer of IIC Satyabrat Bhutia to Lalbag police station, fears of a cover-up and accused escaping punishment are growing.
The delay in the probe has sparked outrage among Humane’s fans, who are demanding justice for their beloved singer.
On the other hand, the medical report related to Humane Sagar’s health has not been handed over to the police by the AIIMS authorities yet.
