Bhubaneswar: A man was detained by the Capital Police on Monday for allegedly beating his father over money to buy alcohol in the Kedarpalli area.
According to reports, the accused demanded money from his father to purchase alcohol. When the father refused, an argument ensued, and the man reportedly struck his father on the head with a bottle.
Neighbors immediately informed the police, who rushed to the scene and took the injured father to Capital Hospital for treatment.
Preliminary medical reports indicate that the father’s condition is stable. Following the incident, the police detained the accused.
