Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has congratulated young archery stars Rohit Kumar Marandi and Reshma Mallick on their historic performance at the 69th SGFI National School Games in Ranchi.
Rohit, a Class X student from UGP Government High School, Baripada, won three gold medals, while Reshma, also a Class X student from KISS School, contributed to Odisha’s tally with a gold medal in the Mixed Team event.
Representing Odisha, a contingent of 18 athletes—comprising 11 girls and seven boys—competed under the banner of the Odisha State School Sports Organization, Department of School and Mass Education.
Taking to his X account, CM Majhi wrote: “Heartiest congratulations to our young archery stars, Rohit Kumar Marandi and Reshma Mallick, on their historic performance at the 69th #SGFI National School Games in Ranchi. Winning a remarkable four gold medals, including Rohit’s exceptional triple-gold achievement and Reshma’s gold in the mixed team event, they have brought great pride to #Odisha. I wish them sustained success and greater achievements in the years ahead.”
