Bhadrak Youth Stabbed To Death In Puri’s Swargadwar Over Verbal Altercation

Bhubaneswar: A youth was brutally stabbed to death in Puri’s Swargadwar area on Thursday late night following a verbal altercation with another youth.

According to reports, the victim, identified as Ranjan Kumar Das from Banta block of Bhadrak district, was attacked with a knife, resulting in his death on the spot.

Ranjan had visited Swargadwar to attend a funeral of a relative and was waiting outside when he got into an argument with another youth. The situation escalated, and the youth stabbed Ranjan in the neck, killing him instantly.

Manas Ranjan Nayak who was accompanying Ranjan, was also attacked and injured. Upon being informed, Beach police have launched an investigation, and sent the body to Puri District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem. The accused is still at large.
