Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for cold wave conditions in isolated pockets of several Odisha districts for January 10 and January 11.
According the mid-day bulletin of the India Meteorological Department, cold wave conditions are very likely to prevail over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Cuttack, Khordha, and Angul districts on January 10. The warning is extended to January 11, with Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Angul, and Dhenkanal districts likely to experience cold wave conditions.
Going by the IMD forecast, there will be no significant change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) over the districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours. However, a gradual rise of 2-3°C is expected in the minimum temperature during the subsequent 2 days, followed by no large change thereafter.
However, residents are advised to take necessary precautions to cope with the prevailing cold weather conditions.
