Puri: Renowned sand artist Manas Kumar Sahoo created a special sand animation to mark National Youth Day, paying tribute to Swami Vivekananda and his vision for India’s youth.
The two-hour live performance depicted Vivekananda’s life and ideals, highlighting the importance of strength, discipline, and dedication for the younger generation. The sand animation also featured representations of India’s youth, symbolising energy, courage, and the transformative potential that Vivekananda envisioned.
Sahoo, known for his innovative storytelling through sand, brought to life Vivekananda’s face and the words “National Youth Day”, combining artistry with social inspiration.
Through this creation, Sahoo emphasised the relevance of Vivekananda’s teachings in contemporary society, demonstrating how art can serve as a medium to inspire and educate.
National Youth Day, observed annually on January 12, commemorates the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and celebrates the spirit and potential of young Indians.
