Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Dr. Kambhampati Hari Babu on Wednesday spread festive cheer among children during their visit to the Lok Bhavan Garden, marking the celebration of Makar Sankranti. The Governor interacted warmly with the children and distributed sweets, chocolates, and pens, creating moments of joy and enthusiasm.
The children visited the beautifully landscaped Lok Bhavan Garden along with the newly developed ‘Atal Van’ located within the Lok Bhavan premises. Expressing his happiness, the Governor said that meeting children and witnessing their excitement while exploring the lush green surroundings gave him immense joy. He noted that such open and natural spaces provide a safe environment for children and play a vital role in their overall development and well-being.
Dr. Hari Babu also expressed satisfaction over the growing public interest in visiting the Lok Bhavan Garden. He said it was heartening to see people from different walks of life enjoying the calm and scenic ambience of the Lok Bhavan premises.
The Lok Bhavan Gardens have been opened to the public from January 10, 2026, and will remain open until January 20, 2026. Since its opening, the gardens have witnessed a large footfall, with thousands of visitors from Bhubaneswar and various parts of the state visiting the site every day.
