Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to embark on a three-day trip to West Bengal to attend an Investors’ Meet beginning tomorrow, aiming to attract investments and boost the state’s industrial growth.
According to reports, he will be accompanied by Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain and senior officials.
Notably, this is Majhi’s second such meet, following a successful Hyderabad event last year that drew Rs 67,000 crore in investments and promised 56,000 jobs.
Over the course of two days during Hyderabad event, the Odisha government conducted 73 high-level meetings and two sector-specific roundtable discussions. One roundtable focused on the pharmaceutical sector and involved eight leading pharma companies, while the second brought together representatives from 27 defence-sector companies.
