Bhubaneswar: The cold wave continues to grip Odisha, with Jharsuguda recording the lowest temperature at 6.8°C at 5:30 am today, according to the India Meteorological Department.
Other places in the state recorded a drop in temperatures. Keonjhar dipped to 9.4°C, while Chandbali was at 12.2°C at 5:30 am. Bhubaneswar and Paradip recorded identical temperatures of 12.4°C.
It is pertinent to mention that the morning temperature in Jharsuguda has plummeted significantly from 11.6°C on January 11 to 6.8°C today, shattering previous records.
Meanwhile, the regional weather office has advised the residents to bundle up as the cold wave continues to grip Odisha, with temperatures expected to remain low for the next few days.
