Bhubaneswar: The Orissa High Court has permitted a girl to terminate her pregnancy resulting from rape. The Court issued the directive, citing her physical and mental health concerns.
The court also allowed DNA testing of the fetus to be used as evidence against the accused.
The victim had claimed the pregnancy was unwanted and linked to the rape case. She had earlier filed a complaint at Rourkela Mahila Police Station. The court ordered immediate medical care for the victim.
