Jajpur: The beheaded body of a 60-year-old man was found near his home in Matigadia village under Sukinda police station in Jajpur district on Thursday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Dasaratha Behera, a resident of Matigadia village.
The incident has raised suspicion of murder, and the police are investigating the case.
According to reports, Dasaratha was living alone in his house, and his sons used to give him dinner. On the previous night, his son gave him dinner. To everyone’s surprise, his body was found 100 meters away from his home.
Upon being informed, Sukinda police reached the scene and initiated an investigation.
Police have seized the body and initiated an investigation.
Preliminary inquiry suggests that it is a case of murder, but the motive behind the killing is still unclear.
