Bhubaneswar: Two rock pythons were rescued late Friday night from Nua Badadanda Sahi village under the Purunagarh Section of Angul district.
According to reports, local villagers spotted the reptiles in the village and promptly informed the Forest Department.
Acting swiftly on the alert, Forest Guards from the Purunagarh Section, in coordination with a trained snake catcher and with assistance from the Snake Helpline, reached the spot and conducted a rescue operation.
Both pythons were safely rescued without sustaining any injuries.
After completing all required formalities, the rescued reptiles were released into their natural habitat under the close supervision of the Range staff.
