Bhubaneswar: A delivery boy was injured on Saturday morning when an Ama Bus allegedly collided with his scooter near the Patrapada area under Tamando Police Station limits. The incident occurred around 7 a.m., leaving the rider with minor injuries.
According to reports, the bus was on its regular route from the Patrapada depot towards Dumduma when the accident occurred shortly after it left the depot. The injured delivery boy was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Locals raised concerns over the increasing number of road accidents involving Ama Buses.
“The delivery boy was riding correctly, but the bus driver, who appeared inexperienced, collided with him. Such incidents are happening too often. The government should strictly verify drivers before appointing them,” said a resident.
On being informed, police reached the spot and started an investigation.
