Bhubaneswar: Several routes in Similipal Tiger Reserve in Mayurbhanj district will remain closed for visitors from February 4 to 6, 2026, as President of India Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Similipal.
The closure includes the Kalikaprasad gate, Gudgudia Tourism Zone, and safari at Central zone.
According to an office order issued by the office of the field director of Similipal Tiger Reserve, Kalikaprasad gate and Gudgudia Tourism Zone will be closed from February 4 to February 6. Besides, afternoon Safari and morning Safari at Central Zone (Gudgudia) will be closed on February 5 and on February 6.
It is pertinent to mention that Similipal Tiger Reserve is a significant conservation area, known for its rich biodiversity. It’s also home to the majestic Royal Bengal Tigers and Asiatic elephants.
