Bhubaneswar: A 46-year-old domestic help was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the official residence of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra in Bhubaneswar.
The deceased has been identified as Shankarshan Nag, 46, a resident of the Belpada area in Balangir district.
According to reports, Nag had been working as a domestic help for the Minister’s family for several months and was staying on the premises of the Minister’s official residence. On Thursday, staff members found Nag lying unconscious in one of the rooms and rushed him to Capital Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police have registered an unnatural death case and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact reason of his death.
While preliminary probes suggest electrocution as a possible cause, police said the exact reason for Nag’s death will be clear only after the post-mortem report.
