Bhubaneswar: The Flying Squad of the Excise Department’s EI & EB Unit-1, Cuttack, arrested Santosh Kumar Sahu (43), a resident of Sagadiha Sahi, Ranihat, under PS Mangalabag, Cuttack, for possession of heroin.
The accused was apprehended at Satichaura, PS Markatnagar, Cuttack, with 83 grams of heroin (brown sugar) valued at approximately Rs 8.3 lakh.
The raiding team, led by S K Sakir, Sub-Inspector of Excise, included Amit Kumar Biswal, Karna Oram, Gouranga Nayak, Chandrakant Sahoo, Sankarsan Rout, Sumit Kumar Naik, Ranjit Kumar Sahoo, and Susmita Sahoo. The accused has been forwarded to judicial custody.
