CM Majhi Announces Rs 4 Lakh Ex-Gratia For Berhampur Road Accident Victims

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed deep grief over the tragic road accident at Haladiapadar Square near Berhampur in Ganjam district, which claimed five lives and announced an ex-gratia assistance of Rs 4 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to the next of kin of the deceased.

Also, CM also directed authorities to ensure the best medical treatment for those injured in the accident.

According to sources, the mishap took place when a truck is reported to have rammed into three motorcycles, killing five people on the very spot. The mishap also left eight others injured. The injured are currently undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College and Hospital.
