Bhubaneswar: Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Limited (OHPC) on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Union Bank of India (UBI) at Lok Seva Bhawan to provide a customised Union Super Salary Account for its employees.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, who also holds the portfolios of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment and Energy. Principal Secretary to Government, Energy Department, Government of Odisha and CMD, OHPC, Vishal Kumar Dev was also present on the occasion.
Among others present were Saidutta Biplab Keshari Pradhan, Additional Secretary to Government, Energy Department; Pranab Kumar Mohanty, Director (Finance), OHPC; Sandeep Patnaik, Director (HR), OHPC; Amiya Kumar Mohanty, Director (Operation), OHPC; and Harekrushna Das, General Manager & Zonal Head, UBI, along with senior officers of OHPC and UBI. The MoU was signed by Gagan Bihari Moharana, SGM (Finance), on behalf of OHPC and N. Barik, DGM, representing Union Bank of India.
As per the MoU, each OHPC employee will be covered under a personal accident insurance scheme of Rs 1.20 crore, along with an additional term life insurance cover of Rs 20 lakh. The package also includes an annual hospital cash benefit of Rs 30,000.
Employees will be provided with a RuPay Select debit card linked to a zero-balance savings bank account, which offers additional accidental insurance coverage of Rs 15 lakh. The account also provides lifestyle benefits worth Rs 75,000 annually at no additional cost, including free airport lounge access, quarterly health check-ups, and free banking transactions.
Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Principal Secretary Vishal Kumar Dev appreciated the initiative taken by OHPC in collaboration with Union Bank of India for enhancing employee welfare.
