Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed solidarity with cancer survivors, caregivers, and families affected by the disease on World Cancer Day.
In a social media post, the CM Majhi reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to cancer awareness, early detection, and accessible quality care for all. Besides, CM Majhi emphasized the need for a united effort to combat the disease.
“On World Cancer Day, we stand in solidarity with cancer survivors, caregivers, and every family affected by this disease. Odisha reaffirms its unwavering commitment to cancer awareness, early detection, and accessible, quality care for all. Together, with compassion and collective resolve, we can defeat cancer”, read the CM’s post on his X handle.
The CM’s message comes as part of global efforts to raise awareness about cancer, its prevention, and treatment. World Cancer Day is observed annually on February 4 to promote cancer awareness and encourage action towards a cancer-free world.
