Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu is on her fourth day of a six-day Odisha tour. She is currently at her hometown Rairangpur where she will offer prayers at Jahira Pitha in Pahadapur village, followed by a floral tribute to her late husband’s statue.
According to reports, Murmu will also interact with students and locals at the Skill Hub and SLS Memorial School. Besides, her schedule includes a documentary shoot in Pahadapur and a visit to Similipal National Park in the afternoon, where she will spend the night.
Earlier, on February 4 President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday inaugurated and laid foundation stones for a series of major developmental projects in Rairangpur, aimed at strengthening education, healthcare, infrastructure and cultural facilities in the region.
The President inaugurated the Information Technology Campus of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University and laid the foundation stones for several key projects, including an AYUSH Hospital-cum-Ayurvedic College, an Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology campus, an Archery Centre, city beautification and drainage upgradation works, an auditorium and cultural centre, a girls’ hostel and a de-addiction centre.
