Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi joined students of the 2026 academic year at Government High School, Unit 1, Bhubaneswar, for the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, a program initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to boost students’ morale during exam season.
Addressing the students, Majhi stressed the importance of self-confidence, saying it’s the key to success and comes from telling the truth. “If you study with patience and not under pressure, your exam preparation will be of high quality,” he advised. The CM encouraged students to develop a passion for studies, stating that a comfortable environment isn’t necessary for learning – only willpower and dedication are needed.
Majhi shared Prime Minister Modi’s life lessons, highlighting struggles, successes, and life skills. He urged students to focus on their future and growth, and parents to inspire their children based on their ability, merit, and interest. “Character development, discipline, and knowledge grow in the home environment – provide moral education from childhood,” he said.
The CM cautioned against measuring success by exam results alone, emphasizing the importance of acquiring knowledge and life skills. “Knowledge will teach you, give you life skills to grow forward. Don’t adopt the misconception that the person with the highest number is the most successful,” he said.
Majhi wished students success in their exams, assuring them of his blessings and support. The event was attended by School and Mass Education Minister Nityanand Gond, OSEPA Project Director Ananya Das, students, and parents from various schools.
