Bhubaneswar: The Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) has achieved a remarkable feat by publishing the results of the second phase odd semester examination-2025-26 in just two days from the last date of the tests. The semester examinations, which commenced on January 12 and concluded on February 3, covered various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

A staggering 67,963 students appeared for the exams, and a total of 3,51,264 answer scripts were digitally evaluated by 1,457 registered faculty members across 58 nodal centres in Odisha. The evaluation process was conducted from 7 am to 9 pm daily, with each teacher evaluating a maximum of 40 answer scripts per day.

BPUT Vice-Chancellor Prof Amiya Kumar Rath attributed the swift result declaration to the university’s efficient e-examination system. “Immediately after the first examination on January 12, the answer scripts were securely transported to the university headquarters at Rourkela the next day. Each answer script was coded, scanned, and uploaded on the university’s examination portal for digital online evaluation,” he said.

The results were approved by the conducting board at 8 pm on Thursday and officially declared at 9 pm. Prof Rath said the university has been consistently reducing the result declaration time, from seven days to five days, and now to just two days
