Bhubaneswar: Police have arrested two more persons in connection with the trafficking of a young woman of Jujumura police station area in Sambalpur.
With the arrest of two accused, the total number of arrested men reached six. They have been identified as arrested Manju Ikka and Dasratha Mangaraj, who were arrested from Kota in Rajasthan.
These two arrested persons are native of Panposh area in Rourkela.
A special team of Jujumara Police raided a place in Kota and arrested Manju Ikka and Dasratha Mangaraj. Both were produced before a court.
It may be noted, a woman of Jujumara area who was working at a shopping mall in Sambalpur, was allegedly sold off by her colleagues on the pre-text of holiday outing.
The woman, however, managed to escape and return home safely. She later lodged a complaint at the Jujumara Police Station.
Based on the complaint, the police had registered a case and earlier arrested four persons including three women. One more accused is still absconding, police said.
