15-Day-Old Scooter Bursts Into Flames, Destroys Properties In Rayagada

Rayagada: A battery-operated scooter caught fire near the Durga Mandir in Pitamahal village under Raygada block on late Tuesday night.

The incident occurred in front of senior lawyer Bibhu Pradhan’s house, causing significant damage to the scooter and nearby household items, including a fridge, washing machine, and plastic chairs.

The fire also destroyed lakhs of rupees worth of belongings inside the house.

The scooter, purchased just 15 days ago, burst into flames while charging, triggering a loud explosion that alerted the family members. They rushed out and informed the fire department, which promptly arrived to control the fire.
