Bhubaneswar: Seven Capstone Project winners of the Certificate in FinTech & InsurTech (CFI) Programme, along with two officers from the Odisha Government’s Higher Education Department, will represent the programme’s 1st Cohort on an official visit to Japan from February 24 to March 4, 2026.
The students, recipients of the MUFG Young Innovators Award, have been recogniSed for their exceptional academic performance, innovation potential, and leadership throughout the programme.
As part of their award, they will participate in an international immersion designed to provide exposure to Japan’s financial innovation ecosystem. The programme includes institutional visits, industry engagements, learning forums, and a visit to the Embassy of India in Tokyo.
During the visit, the students will attend the Global Finance Technology Network (GFTN) Forum Japan 2026 and present their award-winning Capstone Project, “TRANCHIFY,” in front of international experts.
The CFI Programme is jointly developed with the National University of Singapore’s Asian Institute of Digital Finance (NUS-AIDF) and GFTN, aiming to train thousands of students for careers in digital finance.
This inaugural overseas visit highlights Odisha’s growing presence in global fintech and financial innovation, offering young talent an international platform to showcase their ideas.
